It’s a quaint little fishing village with narrow streets lined with shops like Grand and Water Antiques. Deborah, the shop owner, has the best stories to go along with each treasure in her shop! After some browsing, Dog Watch Cafe is the perfect spot for a meal with a view of the Stonington Harbor.
And no trip to Mystic is complete without visiting The Velvet Mill. This old factory is a treasure trove of creativity—whether you’re looking for vintage nautical finds at Unit 88, Greg, the owner, knows his nautical wears and loves to share his knowledge, or just want to sample the goods at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. And for those of you who enjoy a good craft brew from one of many microbreweries near Mystic CT, my husband Paul swears by the beer at Beer’d Brewing Co. inside the mill!
