Charting the Mystical Waters

Mystic spans two shores—Stonington (east) and Groton (west), divided by the Mystic River’s embrace. Our haven lies in Stonington’s embrace, near the head o’ Mystic River. A twin-town tale that can mystify—now, hopefully, less so in that, you can find your way to us more easily.

 

                             Voyage Path 

1. Chart your course by exiting at 90 off I-95.
2. Steer north on RT 27, heading away from the Mystic Seaport Museum, and set your compass towards Old Mystic, CT.
3. Navigate the scenic route for less than 2 miles.
4. At the crossroads with a 3-way stop, veer right to stay on Main Street.
5. Spot the Old Mystic Post Office to your portside (left) and a striking red colonial starboard (right). Beyond this landmark, Haley’s Way beckons on the right. Anchor your vessel here, for the Carriage House awaits just beyond the red colonial, with the driveway on the right.

 

Anchorage and Arrival

Our driveway boasts ample space for five vessels side by side, looking towards the Carriage House, one for the Chandler, and one for each Bedchamber below deck. Guests of the Denison Home, the proud red colonial, will find their spots behind the home. Should your crew be sailing in with more than one carriage, signal ahead so we can prepare specific directions on where to dock.

 

Boarding Pass 

1. The night before you arrive, we’ll send you the magic numbers that unlock your seafaring haven.
2. The door, marked #3 with a sign, “Charles Mallory, The Chandler,” grants you access to the hallway leading to Chandler’s Apartment at the Carriage House. 
3. To enter, press the HOME LOGO button, lower left, and enter your 4-digit code. Watch for the blue check mark to light up on the HOME LOGO button and listen for the click to safe harbor.
4. Should night have fallen, let your phone’s lantern guide your way.
5. Once in the hallway, the stairwell is on the right. Your red door at the top of the stairwell will be closed and locked.
6. The last four digits of your phone number will be your keypad code for this lock~ same type of Schlage lock. Use your phone’s lantern to light up the keypad. To unlock from outside, press the HOME LOGO button, lower left, and enter your 4-digit code. To lock, press the LOCK LOGO, lower right. 

 

Check-In Port

Welcome aboard any time post 4 PM (unless by special accord). Our preparations for your arrival are meticulous, ensuring everything is shipshape.

If your journey sees you arriving under the cloak of night, do let me know. I aim to light your path to a warm welcome.
